The premier model car championship event in the Southwest USA, DESERT SCALE CLASSIC is in its 19th year! A critically judged competition, it is a highly enjoyable day-long experience for automotive modelers, fans, and families. General Admission is only $3, Children 10 and Under are free.
Event History
From humble beginnings in 2005, the Cactus Car Modelers of Phoenix have hosted the DESERT SCALE CLASSIC Model Car Championship every year, even throughout the COVID pandemic years when the event was presented via an Online web-based format. The event has grown each year to become a favored destination for modelers from multiple Western states. We're excited to return to a live event!

Event Highlights
We're returning again to our new, spacious venue -- larger, brightly lit contest display area, larger swap meet with longer hours, and the usual DSC features - critical judging, free kids' make and take, raffle, door prizes, expanded swap meet, huge farmers' market outside, 'Judge-the-Judges' contest within the contest. Join us!
